Meet Jason Earnest

Jason Earnest is a dedicated attorney who has proudly served Southern Nevada for more than 25 years. Born in Lakewood, Colorado, Jason developed an early passion for law, justice, and public service that would ultimately shape his career and commitment to the communities of rural Nevada.

After graduating high school, Jason earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Colorado Denver before attending Quinnipiac College School of Law in Connecticut. During law school, Jason distinguished himself both academically and personally. Jason received an award for outstanding classroom performance and was a member of the Moot Court team and the law school rugby team he demonstrated his work ethic, discipline, and determination that continues to define his career today.

Jason was admitted to the Colorado Bar in 1997 and the Nevada Bar in 1998. He has since built an extensive legal career spanning nearly every area of law, including criminal defense, personal injury, family law, probate, construction defect, real estate law, contract law, insurance defense, and insurance-related claims. Over time, he ultimately focused his practice primarily on criminal defense and personal injury law, where he became widely respected for his courtroom experience, dedication to clients, and strong advocacy. Jason also proudly serves as a Public Defender for Nye County fighting to ensure fair representation and equal access to justice within rural Nevada communities.

Beyond the courtroom, Jason is a devoted husband and proud father. He and his wife of over 20 years have raised three successful children:

Kat, who shares her father’s entrepreneurial spirt has a burgeoning business in fashion based in Los Angeles.

Coleman, who followed in his father’s footsteps, is currently going to law school on a full academic scholarship to Southern Illinois University School of Law.

Anthony, Jason’s stepson, recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Nevada Las Vegas with a degree in Kinesiology. 

And of course, no introduction to Jason would be complete without mentioning the family’s beloved dog, Duke, often found comfortably positioned beside Jason at his desk and featured proudly alongside him on his law firm billboards.

When Jason is not serving clients or spending time with his family, you’ll likely find him on the golf course or cheering on the Vegas Golden Knights.
